I just saw in 2024 airbnb reported 9.5 billion usd profit off 11.1 billion revenue. That’s a lot
yet without any notification to me on my mobile app- which I use 99% of the time- airbnb was trying to force my strict cancellation policy to strict- I only luckily found this on a airbnb support call where they told me to log in using my laptop

the week prior I was asking airbnb if there was any option to better funnel the good guests to me- ones with 4+ star ratings - I am a super host and guest fave for 3 years with a 4.94/5 rating and still to this day despite making it clear on my listings I get new guests trying to book that have no booking history or get people trying to book for their friends using their own ratings to book for others knowing they won’t be staying there. And airbnb allows this
airbnb really need to be doing more for hosts- without good hosts you don’t get good guest experiences and I am getting fed up with manipulative tactics airbnb are using trying to change my listing settings without telling me
las tweet I called and spoke to an airbnb ambassador who lied through the skin of his teeth telling me to turn on the instant booking and there was a feature there where only the 4.5+/5 rated guests could book- which was a complete lie- just found out it’s any guest with a 3+ rating who hasn’t had a complaint only on their last booking. So basically it’s 99.9999999% of all guests they have. Absolutely disgusting behaviours airbnb you greedy unethical people
