Base Price in Promotions

Hi, I have increased my pricing in the calendar pricing, however when I go to implement a "promotion" the base price starts at the lower price I had set.  Does this take time to populate in the system of my new price?

Hi @Wayne636

Custom promotions are calculated with reference to the median price, to make sure that they are genuine discounts. Here's the explanation:

@Shelley159 Interesting....the base price they list is $250 which is my previous lowest price, not he median.  I just raised pricing to 300-350/night as $250 was too low and people were probably questioning why the low price.

I get most of my rentals from VRBO and very litter from AirBNB.  Not sure why.

@Wayne636

I believe Airbnb does a 60day look back at your pricing. If you are trying to create a custom promotion, they will go back 60days and see what your median price was for the dates in question. I don't believe they will take into account a price you just changed today. It would have had to have been $300-$350 during the prior 60 days to your changing it.

Pretty sure that's how it works?
