Bookings Way Down

We have 2 homes on AirBNB in Dripping Springs Texas. Last year we had over 80% of our bookings on AirBNB vs other platforms. This year our bookings only for AirBNB are severely down but have stayed up on the other platforms. In May last year we had 9 AirBNB bookings and this year we have had 1. Am I missing something? Has there been a change I am not aware of? We have 4.98+ ratings on both properties and "Guest Favorite" and Superhost status showing.

It can't be the market only because we still get bookings on other sites? Any help or feedback is appreciated.

Hi @Steve3550

You're not the first to experience this type of situation - the search algorithm wants to see recent good reviews. The best way to fall back into favour with it, may be to offer specials so you can get booked and reviewed. Your quality statistics will help you, you probably just need to start things up again.

Thank you!

Where do most of your visitors come from @Steve3550

If from outside the US you could be affected by the no travel advisories that a number of countries now have in place against travel to the US because of what is currently happening in the US .

I know there is currently one in place for the UK.

if most of your guests are from the US it's worth you checking supply and demand for your sort of listing as some markets are increasingly over saturated.

if you have lots of bookings on other platforms you will fall in the airbnb rankings as they prioritise listings with early availability.

Thank you! Almost all of our guests come from the US.

What do you mean by “early availability”?  Listings that are available at the last minute?
