Calendar linking/blocking issue

I have two units, 7 & 8 that can be rented separately or can be connected and rented together. I do have three listings for those, 7 & 8 individually and 7/8 for connected. I have linked them on Airbnb app so any booking/blocking of 7/8 should automatically block calendars for 7 & 8. Also any booking for 7 or 8 should block calendar for 7/8 as part of it is not available any longer.
today I noticed that even the dates on 8 are blocked by me/not available  it did not block availability on 7/8!!! That poses huge problem for possible double bookings if the blockings of calendar do not transfer as it should.

Help please!!!

Anyone else had similar problem?

This is because only reservations will sync on all the calendars. Manually blocking dates does not.

This is done intentionally by Airbnb. This allows a host to block the smaller "child" listings on weekends/holidays (for example), in the hope the larger unit gets booked.

If you want to block dates for personal use for example, you would need to manually block ALL the calendars.

That makes sense… thank you!!! So bad Airbnb ambassadors were not able to come up with that answer and tef

Referred it to tech support as a possible bug

Hi Joan2709,

I am trying to accomplish the same thing here but i am not able to "link" all 3 listings together it seems that air bnb is not giving me the option to do so? Have you got any advice? I believe where the "link listings" option should be is missing.

@Ben7403

It looks like you haven't published the listings yet? Your Profile says "Guest"?

You'll need to publish the listings first. Then turn OFF Instant Book until you can link the calendars properly. I would also block your calendars until you have completed setting up the listings after publishing.

There is alot more information you need to add to the listings before you can accept guests:

Then come back here if you have further questions.

I'm just waiting on my new South Wales STRA registration number to go through then it is should be able to publish the listings I believe?

@Ben7403

Ok...you can link your calendars only after the listings are published....

Hello @Alicja41 ,

Listen to @Joan2709

In addition, two observations:

  1. Are you using the Pro Tools to view a multi-calendar? (Only available on computer)
  2. Instead of using code numbers in your listing title to identify them, please remember that they mean nothing to guests and do not really help. You can add an internal name to each listing so that you can identify it, but guests do not see it.
