Can you use 2 platforms concurrently?

I just started running my homestay one month ago by using booking.com as my platform. I have hosted four guests and coming another one. My friend recommend to me to use Airbnb also as platform two weeks ago. When I started  to use Airbnb suddenly the request from guests using Booking.com drop significantly. I am wondering what happen actually. Is it wrong to use two platform concurrently ?, can some body advice me on this.
