Co host questions

We have two properties we rent out and I am responsible for both. Typically when we vacation we block the dates so nobody is in either rental. In the near future we will be traveling much more; it will likely total 6-8 weeks total per year. We’d like to keep the homes open and have them taken care of while gone. We are in Chapel Hill, NC. Any advice? Cohosts I contacted last year wanted a percentage of all our rental income to be available. Hmm.
