Delisted for duplicate listing

Delisted for duplicate listing

Hello,

My listing was deactivated for duplicate listing with previous issues. I purchased the home from previous owner and started my listing after he deleted his listing. I removed all his pictures that I initially used. I appealed and they still denied and upheld the decision to deactivate. I have started an email with support team and submitted all documents like deed, mortgage statement and utility bills. Is there anything else i can do to help me reactivate my listing. This is the 1st time I am hosting and I feel really down and sad that all this happened. Any suggestions, ideas or what i did wrong will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Jincy

There are many, many posts on this very topic and if you  use that search bar just above, you'll read about other hosts experiences.  Use the key word "duplicate listing"  It's even happening to new hosts who have bought listings previously listed on Airbnb AND with excellent ratings!

AI is used massively on Airbnb now so when it sees a listing with the same address, similar pictures, the listing gets removed.  The process can take a while to get relisted and a few have managed but for many, it's meant that they have had to list elsewhere.

Very disappointing for you I know but wish you luck and you'll need persistance.  You can also try contacting Airbnb via Instagram, X and the like and make a search on the net to see if there is any information on how to be successful in getting this ban lifted.
