Hi guys ,
I'm pretty new to this space though I'm a superhost.
So this thing come up in my mind and it's always better to get an expert advice.
So I have this 2bkh property. And sometimes my friends and family members do come there and in those dates i just block my calendar. And then unblock them whenever I'm ready to take bookings again.
So does this blocking unblocking affect my search rankings or affect performance in any other manners?
Because someone said that bnb prefers hosts or properties that are more available throughout the year and tend to rank and recommend only these properties higher.
So does blocking, snoozing gonna affects my overall performance or bnb understands that we also have our personal plan to execute?
I have the same question. Anyone??!
I'm asking the same question. Any clue from anyone?
Hi @Aakash16
It really depends on how many days on the calendar you are blocking and what type of search criteria a guest is using. The less open your calendar, the less chance you have of appearing in search results. If your listing is snoozed, guests won't be able to see your listing at all when searching.
"...Airbnb’s algorithm factors in your listing’s availability, your response times to inquiries, and how often you accept reservations. The more open dates you offer on your calendar, the more likely your listing will meet a guest’s search criteria and appear in their search results..."
