Hello guys so I just bought a property, old owners forgot to remove listing. I created an account and received multiple bookings and then my property was flagged duplicate. I spoke to old owners through my
realtor which then helped me and removed their old listing. Airbnb is not being helpful even thought I submitted the new ownership documents. Im beyond upset because I put so much work in the house to get it up and running and I received a lot of booking but sadly I have one month left and my listing will be removed. I wasn’t even given the chance to host property on Airbnb which is not fair. I need someone to help me out on this matter.
Hello I’m a new host and my listing is being removed because previous owner wasn’t a good host. I need some help. Airbnb customer support is not helpful. Legal team please reach out to me.
Hello @Sadiya3
You've now made three posts about the same topic, why not post updates on your existing posts?
unfortunately it sounds like you bought a property where the previous owner had a poorly performing listing. This means when you set your listing up Airbnb saw it as someone setting up a duplicate listing to avoid guests seeing previous bad reviews and suspended your listing. Did you check the listing before buying the property??
the good news is Airbnb is just one of a number of channels you can use to promote your STR business
hopefully you're already using these channels and have set yourself up to take direct bookings.
this is a community for hosts and guests . You won't be able to contact Airbnb's legal team here .
Hello Sadiya,
Thanks for your inquiry and the additional information you shared.
After a full review of your appeal, we’ve determined that your listing is not eligible to be reactivated based on the information available to us.
We have reviewed your appeal and have decided to uphold the original outcome of removing your listing. This is because it was determined that your listing is the same place as a previous listing that was not following our ground rules for Hosts. You can learn more about the ground rules for Hosts through our Help Center article:

You may be eligible to continue hosting in the previous listing if it was not removed for quality issues by Airbnb. Please check the status of your listing here:
it’s mind boggling because previous owner can still host, I told them to delete listing. But me as the new owner can’t host because it was a duplicate listing for the old owners who weren’t following guideline. Something doesn’t match here. I provided documents showing them im
the new owner but my listing is targeted and being removed. I had bookings which they want to cancel.
I never heard of a company who doesn’t want to earn new business. Someone please help me.
I did not understand this part:
"You may be eligible to continue hosting in the previous listing if it was not removed for quality issues by Airbnb. Please check the status of your listing here:"
That’s what Airbnb emailed me
Which completely makes no sense. They told me previous host wasn’t a good host but they can still host and I can’t as the new owner. It’s mind boggling
Hi @Sadiya3
Airbnb may flag or remove duplicate listings when they detect that the same property is being listed multiple times especially if it appears the host is trying to create a new listing under a different account to avoid listing issues with their original one. Airbnb’s system automatically checks for matching addresses, photos, and property details, so even small similarities can trigger their review.
Ask Airbnb for a manual review if you believe your listing was wrongly suspended or affected.
Provide any documents they request (like proof of address or property ownership) to verify that the listing is legitimate.
I provided new ownership documents but they aren’t helping me.
