EV CHARGING

EV CHARGING

I have just hosted a  guest  whom on  arrival asked   to charge their Electric car.

We have a Solar Battery which supplies all our power but as it was an overcast day it wasn't continually charging.

Anyway we said yes, but  not being very knowledgeable about EV charging and time frames ,didn't realise how much power it would draw.

A few hours later our battery was empty and we were back on expensive Grid power.

Question:  How  do other hosts  deal with  the EV chaging ,cost wise and should guests tell their host before they arrive that they will need to charge their car.

Thanks

Jacquie

I'd direct them to the nearest charging point in your area or install an EV charging point which guests can pay for to use.
