Evolve is a scam

I rented a cabin from these people about a month in advance for 3 nights for my wife’s birthday. They canceled on me 5 days before my stay saying the place caught on fire. My son is actually in Gatlinburg this weekend so I had him go by there. NO FIRE DAMAGE. Look for another place for the same weekend and guess what? Nothing is available because there’s an event happening the whole week after my stay and surprise surprise they’re booked that whole week. They obviously canceled me because they can make more money off renting it that entire week. Greedy people if you ask me. They have completely ruined my wife’s birthday trip and now the friends I’ve invited have taken off work and planned to come celebrate with us. We’re unable to find accommodation for the party of 12 I’ve booked so we’re stuck staying home. Thanks for nothing evolve. Do not rent from these crooks. They don’t care about anything other than making more money and your plans mean nothing to them. They won’t even respond to my messages

They are an awful company and I'm not sure why owners choose to use them to manage their properties @Carl11864 

When they cancelled did you contact Airbnb to claim under their Guest Cover policy so that should hopefully cover any additional costs of you staying in more expensive accommodation be that with Airbnb or in a hotel. 

you may need to look for another nearby location to stay in so you can still celebrate your wife's birthday.

That sounds really frustrating, especially after planning everything in advance for a special occasion. I’d definitely be upset too. Sometimes companies do have legitimate reasons for last-minute cancellations, but if there’s no visible damage and no clear communication, that’s not okay. Hopefully you’re able to get a full refund or compensation — and I’d document everything and contact their support directly if you haven’t already.
