First time renting out - Property help!

Hello!
im just wondering if every host has someone on hand to deal with any problems at the property if the arise? We are new to renting our house and people will be there at the beginning of June and we do not have anyone who can help if a problem arose! How do you go about finding someone?

Your listing looks beautiful.  Just from experience a large group for a week vacation usually has a minor issue.  Clogged a toilet or something stupid.  If you need someone all listings have to be aware of how to seek help.  If your able to travel back to the unit in case something that requires immediate attention.  The hot water heater has no water.  You can have a trusted resource that can physically respond.  Your choice may be I will call this plumber or this handyman to go out to review.

There haas to be a manner to resolve an issue, doesn't have to be you.  You need to have a plan.

Hi @Katy632, this is a great question - thanks so much for asking it here on the Community Center.

Have you got a family member or friend that can support if you're away?

Another option would be looking to hire a co-host through the Co-host Network - have you seen it before?

@Katy632  When we were absentee hosts (i.e., we lived far from our property) we contracted with a local couple who handled cleaning and outdoor maintenance.  They were also available for emergency issues for an additional fee per call.  It took some time to find the help, but by talking to neighbors, a local realtor that handled STRs and other local business owners, we found the right people and had a great 15 year experience.
