Hosting in The Dominican Republic charging for Watt Hours for A/C usage

Greetings,

I own a place in La Romana, Dominican Republic but I would like to know how to prevent power consumption specially in the case of the Air Conditioning. I've heard of a way where the guest buys the watt hour to use the A/C to prevent the abuse and preserve it specially when the guest are not at home.

please if someone knows more about this topic.
