Hosting my house immediately

Hi everyone, I've heard that I had to live in my house for a year before renting it out to tenants and I was wondering if that concept also applies to hosting my house in Airbnb. So my question is, do I have to wait a year before putting my house up on Airbnb?

@Gisele131 where is this constraint coming from? Mortgage company. local town, and State are all possibilities but who knows.....
