@Shan4300

You posted in "ask about your listing".

Your first listing:

4 guests, 1 bed (?)

Your second listing:

Title "Three Bedroom House Available For Rent"

Amount of bedrooms: 2  (?)

It's a hard question to answer, probably because the answer keeps changing.

Some days, you get the place ready, leave it a little better than you found it, and hope that someone arriving tired after a long journey will walk in and think,  this feels good.

It's a small kind of satisfaction. But then again, the things that stay with us the longest usually are the small ones.

And then there are the other days. The days when Airbnb announces it's "simplifying" things by moving all service fees onto hosts.

In my experience, whenever someone says they're making things simpler, it usually means someone else is about to end up with a bigger problem. This time, that someone is me and thousands of other European hosts. We'll have to raise our prices by far more than Airbnb's widely advertised 15.5%, pay more in taxes, and become less competitive in the process.

And yet, despite all that, I still think there's something quietly rewarding about being a host. Because guests, more often than not, still manage to surprise me in the best possible way.

Airbnb almost never does.

Hi @Shan4300

Welcome to our community 👋

As you are a host yourself, I was wondering if you could tell us a bit more about what's behind your question -in what way do you wonder this?

As Emiel hinted, we can see your listings are up and running, so if you'd like some advice on them let us know. Vanessa has also kindly shared her perspective on hosting, which you might find insightful. 🌻

Have a lovely day,

Emilie
