Hello hosts with multiple listings on the same property,
Do you know if it is possible to set up a multi-level calendar connection?
Let's say I have three rooms, with one listing for each room.
Additionally, I've created a second-level listing that combines rooms 1 and 2. Using the connected calendar feature, a reservation for the listing 1+2 will block the availability of rooms 1 and 2 individually.
Now, I would like to create a third-level listing that includes rooms 1, 2, and 3. To do this, I need to connect the calendars of all three individual rooms (1, 2, and 3) as well as the 1+2 listing. Unfortunately, Airbnb doesn't seem to support this third-level connection.
I haven't even mentioned what happens when there are more than three units, where even third-level connections might not be sufficient.
Meanwhile, as a workaround, I connected unit 1 to the third-level listing (1+2+3). This prevents some false reservations (if unit 1 is unavailable, the combined listing 1+2+3 can't be booked). However, this solution isn't perfect. Once I receive a reservation for the combined listing, I still need to manually block units 2 and 3.
Any creative solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Hi @Guy991 I understand what you are trying to do. It’s complicated however would be very easy if you used a channel manager.
I use Owner Rez. I did try this set up however I am too much of a control freak with dishes, linens, furniture etc going from one unit to the other creating a nightmare for my cleaners.
That’s just me though so if it works for you great but like I said using a channel manager would make it seamless without having to worry about I cal sync not firing as they should.
there are many PMS out there. Guests and Hospitable are other popular ones.
A couple-few months ago, another host posted an inquiry very similar to yours and my response is okay workaround but not an ideal solution.
Listing A has Room 1 and Room 2's calendars linked, and Listing A's calendar is sync'd with Room 3's calendar. Airbnb automatically syncs calendars every two hours, or a host can manually refresh at any time. It's not a perfect fix, but it does systematically unblock all calendars if there is a cancellation.
Airbnb is the only OTA that allows calendar syncing between listings on its platform.
Hello @Guy991 thanks @Paula for tagging
Have you tried this set-up?
Listing A: Entire House (Parent listing)
Listing B: Bedroom 1
Listing C: Bedroom 2
Then link the calendars of A+B and A+C (but NOT B and C).
So this happens: If someone reserves A (Entire House) then B and C become unavailable.
If someone rents B, then A becomes unavailable, but C is still available.
If someone rents C, then A becomes unavailable, but B is still available.
"Then link the calendars of A+B and A+C (but NOT B and C).

With this setup there is the possibility that B and C are rented and the calendar for A will be blocked, but it's technically available.
