Is this legit?

Hello!

I planned a vacation in pittsburg this upcoming April and I wanted to make sure this place is legit. They haven't mentioned anything about paying outside the app but I found them home for sale on zillow which is concerning.

What did the host say when you sent an inquiry to ask them about it @Maxwell91 ? 

I wouldn't book because they don't provide a full description of the accommodation being provided .

if you're concerned book with a long established superhost.

If you look at the listing it only has a generic description of the accommodation.

surely you want to know what amenities the accommodation has , how many rooms, where it's located etc.

as the owner hasn't replied that's a red flag I would move on. @Maxwell91

@Maxwell91 . Check Zillow listing with the agent is still current. If no agent, yes be cautious.

Sometimes holiday places take a while to sell so the owners continue to list on Airbnb. This can put your booking at risk as they will cancel when the sale comes through if new owner doesnt want to continue, potentially leaving you high and dry with no where to stay if its a popular time. Is their calendar open for many months ahead or just April?

I agree with @Helen3 . Better to pick another listing that isnt selling and with a more reliable host and listing.

This is a really interesting point @Maxwell91 and @Frances3408, to check on property selling sites - I would have never thought to have done that.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who responded! I had the opportunity to speak to the property owner and it sounds like they were looking to sell and decided to have it on AirBnB until it sold. They ended up being incredibly kind and forthright. We ended up going with a different accomodation due to the concern that it may be sold  but it was all resolved and handled well! Thank you for everyone's advice!
