Listing being removed

Listing being removed

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to understand whether anyone else has experienced something similar with Airbnb.

We had a property that:

  • Received two three-star reviews

  • One raised genuine issues, which were fully rectified

  • Another was linked to a refund dispute, where the guest left early and was unhappy not to receive a refund

The listing was initially suspended, we resolved everything requested, provided evidence, and Airbnb relisted it.

However, after a subsequent stay where another guest left a retaliatory review following a refused refund, Airbnb then permanently removed the listing, and we’ve been told it cannot be reinstated.

What I’m struggling to understand is:

  • The relatively low number of negative reviews

  • The fact that all legitimate issues were resolved

  • The lack of clarity around why reinstatement isn’t possible

Has anyone successfully appealed a permanent removal like this?
Or had insight into how Airbnb weighs retaliatory reviews or refund disputes?

Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.

Hi @Amy-Swanston0

For more context, what issues did Airbnb mention about your listing? They usually explain the reason when a listing is removed. If it’s related to safety concerns, those decisions are often non-negotiable and need to be fully resolved before the listing can be reinstated.
