Lockable room setting

Does anyone know how to change the privacy settings for ‘lockable room’. It’s a setting that appears in the individual room photo’s. Mine currently shows that the room is not lockable - but it is lockable. I’ve tried to change it both on the app and via the website. But it doesn’t save the change.

It could be because this is a studio - bed in common area (no separate room for bed). Where are you showing the bed located? In the Living Room photo?

Yes the bed is a combined living space. But in the photo tour the bed it shown in a ‘bedroom area’ category.   I did have it in a category called ‘bedroom’ but changed it to see if the setting would fix itself - it didn’t!

I don't think your property type should be "Room" unless you are doing a Home Share situation where you share space with guests (like a living room or kitchen).

 

Change your property type to:

This will take care of the lock on bedroom door callout which is only for Home Share situations with a property type "Room".

 

If you share the driveway, pool or other spaces with guests, then add that to the Guest Safety section under property info:

I would add to title Guest Suite w Private Entrance.

Thanks so much for your help. I have changed these settings. But when I click ‘view’ it’s still showing as a ‘room’ and lock on bedroom door still showing with strike through. So frustrating! Does it take a while to update changed settings in the live site?

You may need to contact Airbnb to advise them of this so they can remove the Room designation. After they correct that you should not see the Rooms callouts any more.
