Hi AirBnb Community,

What is your advice on my town home? How can I market my listing better?

Just at a quick glance of your listing, I’d suggest two things.

1) Color. You place looks a bit dated. Use some colorful modern accents to spice it up just a bit. Right now, it looks like a rather uninteresting typical residence. People might find it difficult to imagine a fun family vacation there.

2) You need professional photography and make sure you have no fewer than 40 photos. When searching for a photographer, make sure you select someone who’s VERY experienced shooting LOCAL vacation rentals. Don’t be afraid to pay them for both their advice and their photography. If they’ve shot a lot of vacation homes, they’ll have valuable advice.

Also, know and understand your market by finding the top 5 nearby vacation rentals. Study their listings, their reviews, and their calendar. Make it your part time job to be an expert on your market and potential clientele. Once you know your market and your client, you’ll start seeing your place differently in a way that invites new guests to reserve your place.

Hi @Jailah0,

Have bookings slowed down recently, or would you like to increase them overall?

I'll mention in a few of our hosts who always have useful advice: @Elena4390 @Andrew-and-Jeremy0 @Jason2680 @Greg2406 @Hazel184 I'd love to know what you think of Jailah's town home 🙂

Thanks you everyone,

Emilie

Thanks @Jason2680, that's quite a lot of suggestions already!

@Jailah0 What do you think of these ideas?
