Hello! I’m a newer host and happy to be here. I am experiencing a sharp drop in bookings after my first month. Any tips or suggestions on what I can do to increase visibility and bookings?

Hey Ande, first off, welcome to the hosting world. Take a deep breath. What you are experiencing right now is incredibly common, and it happens to almost every single one of us. When you first launch a listing, the platform gives you a temporary new host boost to help you get your footing. It pushes your space to the top of the search results so you can land those crucial first bookings and reviews. Once that first month wraps up, the training wheels come off, the boost fades, and the listing has to start competing organically. It feels like a sudden crash, but it's just the algorithm leveling out, since you're in the transition phase, few grounded, practical things you can do right now to shake up the algorithm and get those bookings rolling back in: Tweak Something Daily, the algorithm loves active hosts. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel just open your calendar and adjust your pricing by a dollar, change the order of your first five photos, or update a line in your description. It signals to the system that your listing is active and fresh. The First 3 Reviews Strategy, If you don't have at least three to five reviews yet, consider lowering your price slightly below your local competition just for the next couple of weeks. Think of it as an investment. Once you get a handful of 5-star reviews under your belt, your organic visibility will naturally climb, and you can raise your rates with confidence. Offer a Short-Term Promotion, Try turning on a temporary discount for last-minute bookings or a small price drop for a 3-night stay. The platform often adds a little visual badge to your listing when you run a promotion, which makes you stand out mid-scroll. Review Your Cover Photo, Now that the initial boost is gone, your cover photo has to do the heavy lifting. Make sure your first picture is an absolute showstopper whether it's a cozy bedroom setup, a stunning view, or a sunlit corner. It needs to make people want to click. Hang in there, Hosting is a learning curve, and this slow patch is just the phase where you get to fine-tune your space. You've got this.

Thank you @Lazmee0 . These are great tips I will implement. Appreciate your time.
You are so welcome, @Ande4511! I'm really glad those tips resonated with you.
Don't sweat the slow start this month; we've all been there, and your studio looks wonderful. Just take it one small tweak at a time, focus on getting those first few stellar reviews, and the momentum will follow.
Wishing you tons of success and happy hosting! Feel free to reach out here whenever you need a sounding board. 🌟
@Ande4511 Lovely space and you are off to a great start with great reviews. I agree with what @Lazmee0 stated about the hero photo and tweaking your listing.
Your description is great and really sets expectations for the guest. I would weave in more storytelling into the description such as how the guest will feel while staying. What will they be doing while they are there. You can use the short descprtiption for bullet points about the space and use the longer description for more story telling.
The pics look great and very well done. I would use one of the roof top pics as my hero photo, everyone loves hanging out on a roof top especially with a pool.
Best of luck and you are off to a good start!
Love these tips! Thanks @Karen114 .. I didn’t think about using the pool as my hero photo.. makes total sense.. 😊
