Hi All,
I am about to list my house on AirBnB and initially selected 'no' to the "first three bookings" discount option.
I would now like to offer this option, but it has disappeared from my promotions screen. Does anybody know how to get it back?
Thank you so much,
Brigitta

Hello @John5097 @Brigitta34
I think I remember reading here on the CC that once you've said no to the new listing promotion discount you can't go back and activate it! Daft obviously as we are all entitled to have second thoughts especially when we're starting out but there you go.
You're solution is to offer other discounts that Airbnb offer:
https://www.airbnb.fr/help/article/3421?
There's one they don't mention in the list, it's the 10% discount non refundable rate that is popular too when offered.
All the best
Joëlle
That is definitely an options (non-refundable) I hadn't thought about!
The only negative to non-refundable, is many Hosts complain that guests will still try to cancel for a full refund and Airbnb pressures them to do so.
Hello @Joan2709
Yes I can see that happening but have to admit that it hasn't happened to me yet🤞I'm not on IB so when I receive a guests request to book, I always mention that they have gone for the non refundable option but that there is also the standard option in case they didn't see that.
Having this non refundable option also places you higher in the search results and the price that Airbnb show is this discounted rate to guests. During the summer months when I have this on offer, I would say that 8 out of 10 guests choose it which surprised me at first. I didn't think it would be so popular.
The other issue I have seen with some Hosts is once guests find out they won't get a refund, they will start making up false claims to get Airbnb to override the cancellation policy. False claims of lack of cleanliness, safety issues, privacy issues, hidden cameras etc. Some Hosts just stopped offering it due to this.
It's a good that you mention to guests after booking they have chosen the non-refundable option right after booking. Many just see the lower price and don't really see the "no-refundable part". Those on instant book might want to consider changing to request to book if using that option.
@Joelle43
That would make sense. I recall Airbnb sends emails to guest who subscribe to the special offers for new guest. I did this when I started 5 years ago so my first three got the discount and left a review. Incidentally, I also offered this discount for first three guest on Vrbo and the ones that used it didn't even bother to leave a review to I hardly got any reservations on that platform that is falling behind is some aspects like that IMO.
But the Google AI that I googled has been surprisingly accurate with all kinds of obscure searches, so maybe OP has that option which is why I posted it.
I can't recall but think I went back and forth on the promotion but glad I decided to use it. There should def be the option to add it..
BTW @Joelle43 congrats on your first 25 5* reviews. Keep up the great work! 😉
That was also the only promotion or discount I ever offered on Airbnb. 5 years later over 95% occupancy and 431 5 star reviews and one 4 star.
So this is the only discount I would recommend. YMMV. I do use a different approach with good value and quality.
Thanks, Joelle. Yes, customer support got back to me, and you can't re-add it. Since I hadn't opened up for bookings yet I just started the listing again. Thank you!
Thanks, John 🙂
