New host- seeking advice

Hi! I just listed our property in Arkansas but we cannot find it when searching on Airbnb. Am I missing something? I would love some feedback and suggestions on how to make it appear on the map and list along with other properties near by. Thanks so much! Sona

Hello @Sona203 and welcome,

I've been onto your listing and can see that there are many things missing but don't worry this is not unusual.  Creating an Airbnb listing is a two step process and you have completed only the first step.

So you need to set aside a few hours to complete your listing and once this is done, your listing will stand out in the eyes of the algorithm.  Below you'll find a great guide that will help you and once you think all is done, I would create another post and ask for a listing critique to see what you could maybe improve upon.  6 years in and I still update my listing and try and improve on it regularly😉

It takes some time before a listing is visible in the search system (usually 24 hours)

(i checked, it is not visible there)

Your listing only offers stays of minimal 30 nights (probably due to local regulations ?).

It means ofcourse only guest searching for minimum 30 nights or monthly stays will see your listing in the search system.

And automatically a "long term stay" cancellation policy (you can choose in the editor out of 2) will be applied.

You offer the "new listing" discount, please note it will apply on total reservation (all months in it)
