Hi everyone!! I just had a beautiful inground saltwater pool built at my Airbnb.
What do I need to do different?
Are there specific forms or waivers that need to be signed?
I do have the pool fenced in with an automatic cover (can only be opened by an adult with the key. I have an alarm on my downstairs door that opens up right into the pool area. Do I need certain signs posted e.g. No lifeguard Children must be supervised no diving etc etc. Is it best to supply "pool toys such as rafts or floating? Or does that open one up to more potential issues?
Anyone out there that has a lot of experience with an inground pool on their property (I said private right?)
Please share any thoughts you feel would be beneficial
Thanks So Much
Rachael
Congratulations on finishing this project.
Regards your excellent question, the best information should be available from the City Hall folks in planning and zoning, as well as your business insurance agent. Just to be safest, I would consult an attorney, and take no chances.
Happiest new year and joy in hosting!
Hi and Thank you for your quick response! Do you have any inground pool on your property? Have you ever had any issues?
We did have an in-ground pool at one of our rentals, and had it removed at great expense. To us, it was not worth the expense of constant maintenance, liability risks and added no resale value to the property.
I would speak to whoever provides your home insurance for STRs and ask them about costs for adding your swimming pool @Rachael461
