I am a super host with two properties on the maket in the Miami area. One in Broward county and the other in Dade county.

I 've had a long term guest in Broward until recently, but the Dade county property has had no inquiries since mid July.

I have made several special price offers and no bookings.

Who else is having similar experiences in the South FLorida area??

Please search here on the CC for 'summer release'. You will see that many other hosts have been experiencing the same problems.

@Gary1109 Way, way too many rules on Casa Domingo—requesting a security deposit, threat of charging guest CC for any damages, arbitration in Miami, 3% CC fee, and the rental agreement just goes on and on.

Nope, as a guest, this turned me off immediately. Now you may say, “good, I’m not the type of guest you would want anyway,” but believe me, this is why you’re not getting any inquiries. What is there to inquire about? It’s all there in black and white. Just my 2cents.

@Gwen386 in fairness to @Gary1109  when you use a short-term rental platform unsuited for long term bookings you have to try to fill the gaps with rules that read like a rental contract.

@Mike-And-Jane0 I guess. I’m just saying it’s way more STRs that don’t have cumbersome house rules; so for me, I would bypass his rental.
