On site picture requirement

On site picture requirement

I am trying to list a timeshare.  Airbnb wants m etc take pictures of the unit.  I don't live in the resort town and I only have 1 week a year.  How do I get around this requirement?  I have my title and deed but customer service is not helping.

Per @Helen3 , you'll need to have someone else verifyfor you. Airbnb is very cautious with timeshare listings for good reason (lots of scams).

Have Someone Else Verify For You

They can do that for you as long as they have their own Airbnb Account and are using the most current verision of the App (best to have them delete the App on their phone and then re-install it if they aren't sure it's the current verision). That forces the current version of the App. They will need your Wifi Network Name/Password for the timeshare. The Timeshare Management Company would have to authorize this of course. Be sure your address and map pin in the Location section of the Listing Editor is correct before doing this.

Local Airbnb Club

You can post in your Local Airbnb Club you are looking for someone to do this for you. Pay them electronically via Zelle, Venmo, PayPal etc. I would pay 1/2 prior and 1/2 after Airbnb approves/verifies the listing. This could take several tries.

Airbnb Co Host Network

I suppose you could look on Airbnb's approved Co Host platform and find a Co Host in your area. Contact them and see if they would be willing to do this for a fee. They would at least be familiar with Airbnb and understand what you are trying to do. You can make payment arrangements like 1/2 now and 1/2 after photos are approved by Airbnb via Zelle, Venmo. I would not add them as a Co Host to your account. Just use the Airbnb platform to find a Co Host in the area.

You can't get around it. You would need to ask the timeshare owners if they can share photos or pay someone to do it for you @Ken4197

@Ken4197

Watch this YouTube video on verifying location for Timeshares. Of course they are asking for a membership and fee, but explains the issues with photo verification for timeshares. No idea if this company is legit:

I would also be sure your timeshare allows you to sub-lease in the Rules & Regs.
