One-night stays

I know this has come up before, but I really don’t understand why Airbnb still hasn’t come up with a simple solution for adding a surcharge to a one-night booking? There’s more work involved in one-night stays - some would say more risk, too. Even so, I’d like to offer one-night stays Mon-Thurs to try and attract more business travellers, but I won’t do so unless I can charge a higher price.

I can’t be the only one who’d be willing to consider one-night stays, so why doesn’t Airbnb simply add a surcharge option as it does for e.g. extra guests? 🤔

I guess the only workaround is to create a duplicate listing?

@Jenny349 The "cleaning fee" is a de facto short-stay surcharge.

@Jenny349  as Andrew said , use cleaning fee bc it is charged just once per stay.

If your nightly price is 100 and the cleaning fee is 40 then someone who books just one night will pay 140 while someone who books 2 nights will pay 240 (120 per night) etc... Longer stay = lower nightly price

@Branka-and-Silvia0  !

I could do that, agreed, but it’s not the right solution for me.

It remains a mystery to me why Airbnb doesn’t offer this option. It must be trivial to set up, I’d have thought.
