Aloha from Kauai, Hi.  I'm trying to access my account, and for some reason it keeps deferring me to my customer portal. I have stayed places listed on Airbnb, but even so, there's always been a way to get to my Host account. Not now! Not sure what has changed. Is there something in Settings that will link me to my Hosts Account so I can easily log into my host account?

Sounds like you need to "Switch to Hosting"

Click profile bottom right

Tap Switch to Hosting

Top right - Switch to Hosting

is there a way you can reply and save without having to completely rewrite a message or response? 
this is now my 4th time replying to these replies?

Yes, the solution was found immediately after my question. It involved answering questions that popped up and refreshing my info, and suddenly everything was back the way it should be, including the Switch to hosting that had gone missing.

Yes, our replies are saved when we leave the page but haven't finished writing.  You need to remember where you started to reply or who you were replying to and by pressing reply again you'll see this come up and you press LOAD and some or all of your reply will come back:
