Peak season entire villa, off season room by room

Hey,

Does anybody know if you create individual rooms as well as an entire villa listing and block the rooms does it block the entire villa. Just want to run it entire home over peak season and then room by room or entire over the off season. So would block all individual room listings for high season. Before I set it up and sync calendars etc.

Also can you use duplicate listing and make it room by room or better to do new ones

Thanks

Hi @Tim3923

You may list an entire place and room listings and then link your calendars so it automatically blocks one when a booking is confirmed in the other listing. Let's say you list an entire place and rooms A and B. When the entire place is booked, both A's and B's calendars will also be automatically blocked. When Room A is booked, it will also block the entire place's calendar but not Room B. Same goes when Room B is booked.  This automated setting only applies if the calendar is blocked by a confirmed reservation.  Manually blocking a calendar will not have any effect on the other linked calendars. You may want to look into this help article for more info https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/1864.

If you want to only list the Entire place listing on some seasons, you will need to either temporarily unlist the rooms listing or manually block their calendar for that date range.

All the best.

@Tim3923 Blocking the rooms will not block the entire villa as the system is designed this way. Duplicating listings saves time BUT even when duplicated the listings will be created with a flexible cancellation policy, instant book and other things I may have forgotten.

Finally turn on pro tools so the multi calendar becomes available to you.

Hey there,

Thanks for that very helpful!
