Publishing a listing

Publishing a listing

I am a first time host. I followed all the steps to publish a listing and I am not able to see it listing when searching in the traveling mode. I'm not able to find it in the listings or area map. It shows as listed in my settings but no where else. I wanted to make sure all the steps were covered. How do I verify that it is live?

Thank you.

Hi @Derek700

Go to
Airbnb App or Website > Menu > Listings > Select your listing.

Look for a green dot or label that says “Listed”.

Sometimes Airbnb flags listings for additional checks before making them visible.  Check your “today” tab if you are using the App.

When doing your search switch to travel mode and search for your place using:

  • Correct location
  • Matching dates
  • Correct guest count

@Derek700

It can take 24-72 hours before a listing can be seen by guests after publishing. This is intentional on Airbnb's part as it gives the Host time to finish completing the listing...there is  A LOT more information to add to your listing after publishing and before you start accepting bookings.

Hi Derek,

If you're using incognito mode to search for your listing, it's unlikely to show up right away especially if it’s brand new.

One way to view it is by clicking on your listing, then scrolling to the very bottom and selecting "View."

Another option is to create a "custom link" (found at the bottom of the listing edit page).

Once it’s set up, just copy and paste that link into a new browser window, and you should be able to view your listing. I’m happy to connect if you need any help with your setup! We're fellow hosts too and always happy to support others in the community 😊

Best,

Hi @Derek700 😊

Thank you for asking this question here!

Thanks to our hosts' suggestions, were you able to figure out if your listing is live?

Do you need any more help with this?

Don’t hesitate to let me know!

Warm regards 🌻

Yes, my recollection is that it does take two or three days before it is actually live on the Airbnb travel side. Good luck. It is exciting to join the Airbnb community hosting.

I had the same problem and just found a solution, so I’m leaving it here in case someone else needs it.

If your listing/experience shows as listed but doesn’t appear in search results, you may not have added availability. Go to the Calendar tab, click the '+' button, and add available dates. That should solve the problem.

Best,
M
