Registration outside Airbnb

I have been asked to register outside Airbnb with request of detailed personal information...is that OK, I'll be in Medellin Colombia

Not familiar with regulations in Columbia, but many countries do require copies of passport and other information be obtained and record by the Host. 

Airbnb does have an off-platform policy that prohibits requesting this information unless it is required by local regulations. This should be disclosed on the listing, so I would check for that. You can also message the Host and ask why they are requesting it.
