Renting the house you live in

Renting the house you live in

If I rent the house I live in but vacate it during rentals, how much of my personal stuff can be left out? Can I lock closets? Do I need to empty dressers? I would be leaving kitchen and other stuff for renters to use. But how much of my stuff can I leave “as is”?

If you plan to offer the house as "entire place", there should not  be any personal stuff at all, as guests can use all spaces. Otherwise list it as appartment, studio or only offer 1 or more rooms and keep some (preferable locked) areas for private.
