Hello @Tevin12, welcome to the Airbnb Community Center 😊

It seems you have put a lot of work into the photos of your listing. Did you take them yourself, or did you work with an Airbnb photographer?

I’m reaching out to some amazing hosts here to see if they would like to take a look at your listing and offer their insights: @Tariq52 @Supriya29 @Naomi208 @Doan39 @Gregory781 and @Michele-and-Dana0

Looking forward to seeing all their suggestions.

Hallo Paula,

Thank you for trusting us to support startup hosts , I truly feel humbled by the opportunity—it allows me not only to help, but also to continue learning and building new skills along the way.

@Tevin12 ,Your cabin listing is truly wonderful and very unique. The ambiance is amazing; however, the photos do not fully capture its beauty and have unfortunately let the listing down. I strongly recommend engaging a professional photographer, preferably one with experience in styling spaces. You may also consider getting someone who is skilled in bed styling to help present the space at its best.

One more observation: once you have clearly described what you offer—such as linens and towels—there is no need to repeat these details multiple times in the listing. Keeping the description clear and concise will make it easier for guests to read and understand.

Wishing you great success and a rewarding hosting journey ahead.

Warm Regards

Hi @Tevin12 -

You've got a lovely place for folks to stay and I can tell you put a lot of thought into it!

I looked at your listing and I have a couple ideas for you:

Under About the Space I'd recommend removing the information that's not about your space in favor of including information about the house that your potential future guests may want to know.

As an example, I pulled the list below from a listing quite near yours. These won't all fit your space, but it gives you an idea of the kind of information your potential guests might be interested in knowing (parking, check in, full kitchen, etc.).

🌿 Private balcony and garden space – Ideal for morning coffee or a glass of wine
🛁 Luxury bathrooms – Spa-like experience with rainfall showers and a freestanding bath
🛌 Spacious bedrooms – Two double beds, plush bedding, the master has a dressing table and ample storage
🍽️ Fully equipped kitchen – Perfect for anything from a lazy breakfast to a romantic dinner
🎲 Spacious living area – Smart TV, board games, and comfortable seating to unwind
🚗 Off-street parking for 2 cars – A rare gem in central Bowness
📦 Self check-in – Lockbox access for flexible arrival
🍷 Welcome touches – Complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits on arrival

In Other Things to Note I would recommend removing what you've got (as it should all be listed under About the space) and adding information about what's close by (restaurants, pubs, etc.) or anything important about the house that you want to emphasize, for example if you have laundry or not, if your guests have special access to anything, if you have pet restrictions, you get the idea.

Photos:  Your photos are beautiful and thoughtful. Even though the closeups are gorgeous and it's obvious they are expertly designed, I would recommend taking them out of your listing as they don't add meaningful information for potential guests. For example, I can't get a feel for the layout and can't tell where the bedrooms and bathroom are located. When I can't really "see" the house and  instead I'm shown multiple closeups of focal points in the house, I feel like that's an obvious distraction (though a beautiful one!) and I start to wonder why the host chose to "hide" their space in this way.

Consider giving your potential guests a tour of your home, help them understand the layout so they can visualize moving around the space. For example:

  1. If you stand where the very first living room photo is taken, rather than including a closeup of the pillow and couch cushion, try turning around and looking the other way to show potential guests what they would see from that position.

  2. You could also take a wider-angle photo from the couch looking at the fireplace and showing the view of the dining area too - that would give you a chance to highlight the fireplace without including a closeup that doesn't give me any other information. **I would be nice to know if that fireplace is also a heat source or just decorative!

  3. You can show more in each bedroom as it seems that would provide useful information about the room size / setup. In a bedroom caption you mention that you have with a full wardrobe and drawers but I can't see them so I don't know how much space you really have if I'm looking for a space that is ""long-stay ready."

  4. You have very very little in the way of artwork. If you hung a few of your closeups on the walls, your guests would get to see your artistry and talent in a setting that adds value to their stay.

One last thing: You said: "Plus enjoy 10% off breakfast & lunch at one of our favourite local cafés as our guest." Why all the mystery? Why not tell your guests which restaurant it is so they can be impressed with your offering and then check out the menu and envision their perfect meal!

I hope these ideas help and I wish you the very best!!

Cheers,

Dana

Hi @Tevin12,

Your listing is strong because the location inside Fallbarrow Park near Lake Windermere is a major selling point, but it needs to be more practical and clearer to convert views into bookings. The title should highlight what guests care about most, such as the walkable location and free parking, rather than the breakfast discount. In your first paragraph, clearly state that it sleeps 4 guests, has 2 bedrooms, self check-in, free parking for 2 cars, and a fireplace. Guests scan quickly, so practical benefits must appear immediately. In “The Space,” add specific details such as whether the fireplace provides heat, what kitchen appliances are included, what type of bathroom is available, and whether the WiFi is suitable for remote work. Remove obvious statements like cooking utensils provided and instead use that space to clarify park rules, pet policy, and any fees. Also, name the café offering the discount to build trust and make the benefit feel real. Since it is a new listing, keep pricing slightly competitive, allow short stays, and use flexible cancellation to help fill the calendar quickly.
