Hi all

 

Guests being able to delete their review AND RATINGS after both host and guest reviews have been published. So I was absolutely horrified and shocked, that this is STILL happening on Airbn - this was discussed and raised previously

 

This has literally just happened to me, which in my opinion is totally ridiculous and beats the objectivity and purpose of the reviews.

 

We have received a great review from a guest (all 5 stars everywhere and lovely write up). Unfortunately, the guest were very messy and left the place very and unusually dirty, so I mentioned this in my otherwise good review.

 

The guest then, retrospectively (obviously as a retribution) asked Airbnb to delete their honest review of our property, and Airbnb just went ahead and did it. I've tried to resolve this with them but all I was told was 'that if guest wishes for  their review to be deleted, they have to do it'. This doesn't make sense, and as far as I'm concerned is in violation with their own policies on reviews and how they work.

 

Has anyone experienced something like this recently? I'm really shocked and surprised that this can be allowed?

@Tereza122 I believe the right to delete a review comes from European Law. It really is no big deal to lose 1 good review.

Hi Teresa both hosts and guests can delete their reviews. As Mike says it's part of consumer rights under EU legislation. @Tereza122
