I need help and advice from NSW AUSTRALIA hosts.
My property has been unlisted by Airbnb due to an error on their part with my STRA registration. My registration is current and I have supplied them the number on many occasions. They initially emailed me back, and then I received an email with “case closed”. Further emails have gone unanswered. My property is unlisted and I am missing income over this busy period. I am going to ring the Sydney number tomorrow. Has anybody else had this happen and how was ut resolved? Many thanks, Elise.
Have not personally experienced it myself, but have heard about other Hosts who have. Many times it is an issue with the requirement that the name and address on Airbnb EXACTLY match the STRA registration info with the governmental agency.
Other issues result from a Host allowing a registration to expire. Then when attempting to add the updated registration, they run into all kinds of issues (BTW, never let your registration expire to avoid this).
Thats all I can think of at the moment...
