I connected my new Schlage encode lock and paired it with Airbnb on Airbnb app. I just received my second guests today as I'm new to hosting. I just noticed that my other two guests for later this week have "code sent"
by Airbnb on booking details. However for all other guests for the next few months it says "code pending" on their booking. Why is this? Does Airbnb only send door codes 7 days in advance? And can I change it to 2 days in advance??

I’m not aware if you can change when the code is sent, but it won’t actually be active until your set check in time and deactivates at the set checkout time. I wouldn’t worry about it being sent 7 days vs 2 days ahead.
Hi @Rachel-and-Josh0 👋
Great questions here and I'd love to tag some of our hosts who have commented on smart lock topics previously who may be able to help: @Joan2709, @Natalie1170, @Bernice71, @Barbara3849, @Kristy-And-Dave0, and @Heidi951. Can you help Rachel and Josh with their Schlage lock questions? 😊
I haven't been using the Airbnb door code functionality for a while, so I'm not certain of the answers to your questions of how the app works, defaults, and if it's configurable. When I used it last, it wasn't configurable (as far as I could tell), but that was a while ago.
I have to wonder, though: Why does it matter? I can't think of any reason it would be a problem to send the code 7 days ahead instead of 2. If it was the case that the code was active during those 7 days, I could see why that would be a problem as they'd have access while another guest is in place. It's not, though. The code won't be active until the time of their booking.
