Should I use the same account as both a guest and a host?

Hello! Total newbie here. I've used Airbnb for years as a guest, and I'm getting ready to become a host. Woo hoo!

Should I use the same email address as on my guest account (that is, should my guest and host account be the same account)? Or should I set up my host account separately, using a different email address? What are the pros and cons of each option?

Thanks for your help!

Lisa

As an account has a travel and a hosting section, you can use same account for both puposes.

@Lisa6496  Same account. I think it's actually helpful if a new host without any reviews for their listing yet has reviews as a guest on their profile. It would show prospective guests that you have a history with Airbnb, are therefore likely to understand what is important to guests and able to see things from a guest's vantage point, and are good people if you have good reviews as guests.
