Superhost Reflections & Advice for Fellow Hosts

Hello everyone! I’m truly honored to be part of this community and to celebrate the joy of hosting together. As a Superhost at The Mini Garden Villa in Seattle, I’ve learned that every stay — and every challenge — teaches us something valuable.

Here are a few thoughts that have guided me and might help you too:

1. When bookings drop:

It happens to all of us. Take it as an opportunity to refresh your listing’s energy — update your photos with seasonal touches, adjust your pricing slightly, and use tools like “Last-Minute Discounts” to attract spontaneous travelers. Even small updates can help your listing climb back up in searches.

2. Listing presentation:

Tell the story of your space, not just its features. Guests are drawn to feeling — the warmth, comfort, and care you’ve created. Use photos that capture your atmosphere naturally — morning light, garden views, or thoughtful details.

3. For new hosts:

Focus on connection. A kind welcome message, a personal note, or a little local surprise can make guests feel genuinely cared for. That authentic touch is what turns first-time guests into returning friends.

Hosting, for me, is about creating moments of calm and joy. When your heart is in the details, your guests will always feel it — and that’s what truly makes a home memorable. 💛

Wishing all of you beautiful hosting days ahead,

Marty 🌿

Hi @Marty321 😊,

@Marty321 well said. I'd also add that when bookings slow down, it's a great time to review your pricing and compare your listing to others nearby. See what new hosts are offering, what amenities or design updates are trending, and how their pricing fluctuates throughout the week or season. Adding things that pop-out within the actual property itself, along with new photos and price adjustment.. can help boost visibility and fill the calendar.
