Suspension Review

Suspension Review

Hi @AirbnbHelp, I’m trying to get help with a suspension that seems to have been made without considering the full circumstances.

  • One cancellation happened because Airbnb reactivated my listing without warning and a same‑day booking came through.

  • Another happened during major building works when my own bedroom was uninhabitable.

  • A 1‑star review contains claims that were never raised during the stay and contradict the message history.

I was a Superhost for nearly two years with 300+ happy guests. I’ve already taken corrective steps and would really appreciate a re‑review by the appropriate team. Thank you.

You need to contact Airbnb support about this.

Seems to me your listing is not only suspended, but also unlisted.

The 1* review is from november 2024.

Did the other incidents happened after that ?

(I see other reviews until februari 2025)

What was the main reason Airbnb suspended your listing ?

As a long established superhost I'm sure you're already aware of this but ....

. If Airbnb re-activated a listing you had suspended you could have pressed for a penalty free cancellation

2. If you had to do emergency building works you could have asked for a penalty free cancellation under the host extenuating circumstances policy

What circumstances do you feel Airbnb didn't take account of . ? @Rebecca2686

I can't see your listing /reviews so can't comment further I'm afraid.

we are not Airbnb help by the way but a community of hosts and guests.

Hi Helen, I didn't press for a penalty free cancellation at the time, I wasn't aware it would be that critical as I hadn't ever cancelled a guest before and I had good reason. They said because I didn't ask, the penalty stands (even though the circumstances would be mitigating). This was more than 12 months ago, but I would still like to get back to responsible hosting and therefore I am trying every avenue to reach the right person who can assist.
