Any one of you got suspended? Why?

We never reached the point of suspension with Airbnb. A guest reported to both me and the Trust & Safety team that someone had been knocking on their door and even tried to use a key to get in. I acted quickly and immediately coordinated with the head of security in our building. After checking, it turned out to be a lost guest who had accidentally gone to the wrong floor the upper floor instead of the 3rd floor where they were supposed to be.

By the time Airbnb’s Trust & Safety team contacted me, I already had the full scenario laid out along with evidence from our building’s security team. I explained everything clearly, reassured my guest that it was only a mistake, and they appreciated the prompt action. In fact, the guest still left me a 5-star review after the incident.

It was definitely a stressful situation, but once everything was resolved, I finally managed to breathe a sigh of relief 😂

@Flavia-Das-Dores0  The biggest reason from what I have gleaned in different peer groups is about cameras.  Disclosed and undisclosed. 

Many of us do have cameras and it's important to disclose this on the listing in great detail.  Despite disclosing them, guests don't read and are surprised to show up and see a camera.  The guest then complains/reports and the process starts with trust and safety to show that it is indeed in the listing etc.  This back and forth excercise can take weeks to resolve.  

Cameras are not allowed inside the space, even if its a shared space listing.  Some guests will mistake some type of sensor or smoke detector as a camera and report and then the excericise ensues.  

You can be suspended for too many low star reviews. If a neighbor calls and reports your listing for any infraction, you can be suspended.  

If Airbnb does a random background check on you and something comes up about you or an acquaintance, you can be suspended. 

Airbnb may look at your social profiles and see some things that don't align with their host avatar and you will be suspended.  

In one of the groupls I am in,  a host was suspended and had no idea why.  I clicked on her profile and she is on only fans with some pretty risque photos 😲  I would venture to guess that had something to do with her suspension. 

The crux of the matter is you can be suspended however you will not know why.  With the heavy reliance on AI this is only going to get worse.

Hi @Flavia-Das-Dores0 , while the reasons for listing being suspended may vary case by case, I wonder is there a recent guest or listing experience that made you think about it?
