Transitioning from Evolve

Hello, I’m interested in transitioning from listing with Evolve to AIRBNB directly. Can anyone answer: Should I list a new listing before I am finished with Evolve? Is the management piece more difficult than using Evolve? How do we collect fees and what calendar do we use? Thanks in advance!

@Lisa7027 we've only ever used Airbnb but it is simple. Guest fees are sent the day after the guest checks in and we get them a few days later. Calendar is all within Airbnb. If you run the two in parallel for a while you can link the calendars to prevent double bookings.

Hi Lisa,

We are looking to move our very established rental property from Evolve. Did you lose all your information when you did this? How difficult was it?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

A

I'm assuming you are aware you'll have to create a new listing as Evolve most likely has been named "Owner" and all the reviews will stay with them.

Here is a New Host Guide that you can take a look at that provides tips for New Hosts. Airbnb makes it pretty easy to create the listing, but there are some additional details you need to add after publishing. You can always come back here for free advice. You can also use an experienced Co Host to help you, or a short term rental consultant for the first few months if you feel you need additional help.
