This is my second rental and this happened on the first as well. I'm obviously missing something. I reviewed the guest and was shown their reviews. But when I go back into the app this comes up each time?
@Donna1726 don't worry about this, it's a bug in the new system, annoying but of no harm.
Hope that helps ✅

Hi @Donna1726
Yes, exactly. It's appeared after I reviewed both rentals. In fact, it is still there.
Hello @Donna1726 @Alex
So annoying right?! It's going to stay for about 10 to 14 days I'm afraid!! Imagine those hosts with multiple listings, they must have full pages of this notifications already dealt with!
If there is a genuine notification for the host, you can be sure it's going to get lost amongst all the follow-ups already followed up!! A very strange and unhelpful addition that has appeared with this new release.
@Donna1726 @Joelle43 @Alex Totally agree! The Today page is sooo annoying, and not helpful at all. In addition, by cluttering it up with non-action items, we're all at risk of missing something important. It's the notification that cried wolf... This will kill us when high season gets in full swing. Right now it's just annoying.
Hi @Donna1726
Someone speculated that perhaps it wants us to respond to the guest review?
I don't respond to reviews, but someone who does can perhaps confirm whether it goes away after you respond.
It doesn't go away even if you respond to a review...unfortunately. I notified Airbnb that these are unneccesary "follow-ups" (there is nothing to follow-up) and they are cluttering up the Today Page. I was told that this is "functioning as intended" and not a bug? What?
Apparently, Airbnb thinks showing something that doesn't need to be followed up as a "follow-up" is functioning as intended.
Like the saying goes, "you can lead a horse to water..."
Thank you that's a relief @Joan2709 - glad to hear it's not waiting for a response each time!
@Shelley159 It does not go away once you've reviewed the guest or left public feedback.
Hi @Donna1726 and @Joelle43. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! It’s possible that this might not be a bug, but I’ll make sure to forward your comments to the team so they can take a closer look. If you have any more details or questions, let me know!
So, I had someone who did not leave a review before I reviewed them. When I reviewed them and went through the screens the followup did not appear? They still have not given a review. I'm not sure why I received an email today telling me:
New solution accepted
A reply to a topic you are following has been accepted as a solution!
I believe it is referring to your reply which really is not a solution or answer?
What do you think?
Hi @Donna1726, thanks again for the follow up and apologies for the misunderstanding. I'll update the top answer for your thread accordingly.
Just for more clarity on your recent comment, did you mean that the pop up related to "read the guest review" still appears even when you have read the review left by guest? or the guest hasn't left a review for you yet?
Best,
Alex
Hi Alex, I can’t speak for Donna, but I’m getting the same issue. The “Read [Guest’s] Review” follow-up is still appearing 11 days later, even though I’ve long-since read his review (and responded to it). I can’t find any way of making this “follow-up” go away - and (as others have said above) in busy season this cluttering of the Today tab could mean that hosts miss something important that actually does require follow-up… Thanks for looking into this - it definitely needs a redesign.
Hi @Alex
Yes, to confirm what @Julia5634 has also replied, every guest review stays on the Today page and is called a follow-up. They eventually go away, but by that time they've been replaced by many other reviews to "follow up".
In the community center we've been unable to figure out what ithe system wants us to do. Reading the review doesn't help, and hosts who have responded to reviews say that doesn't make it go away either.
Perhaps the intention is just to list recent reviews on that page for some reason (?), and maybe the "follow up" label is just misleading.
