anybody else not having their listing show in a search today? I've never had this problem before.

No 'entire home to yourself' listings are showing up in a search for one specific date (Oct 29) in my area.   Every other date shows fine.  For 10/29, only "private rooms" are showing available.

Is it possible that there are no available entire home listings in your area.  We have had that all summer because everyone was fully booked.

@Barbara2628 it may just be that its too long as the 'titles 'are changed. Maybe take off 'to yourself ' and make sure through all the descriptions that you use the same wording ,that is 'entire home' H

you all might find it interesting that I received a response from Airbnb today, after having to solicit a response since they told me days ago that they would get back to me and they had not.

Apparently Airbnb has changed their policies for hosts during dates/times where Airbnb suspects that someone might be renting an entire home to host a party, so they have eliminated the option for guests to seek a single night in an entire home.
I may have mentioned prior that if someone does a multiple night search my property shows up as available, however it does not show up as a single night for Saturday, October 29.

I was allowed to submit my ‘response’ to this new rule online, but I doubt it will change anything.

I am not the only host that this affects in my area. As I log in as a traveler, I am able to select multiple single “entire place” listings for multiple dates, that INCLUDE 10/29, but not for that one night only.

I find this pretty frustrating as I did have an inquiry for Saturday 10/29, but I was not able to respond to it as Airbnb automatically told the traveler that my place was not available without my input.

@Barbara2628 I am thinking because it’s the weekend before Halloween, airbnb is pre-empting any craziness 😂 that they perceive will occur at many properties.

Absolutely, I understand that, and just my opinion… But I would rather make that call myself. I fully vetted all of my guests and do not except anyone who does not have previous reviews. I also do not allow instant booking which I know many hosts do, I just think it would’ve been nice to get a communication from them. As I have a feeling that the other hosts in my area I have no idea this is happening. Oh well… The joys of hosting 😀
