my listing

I have an issue with my listing being booked. I have had it up for several months now and only received one booking. Am i doing something wrong?

Hi @Christina1727

As far as I can tell, you are priced well, so that's not the issue. I really do think it's your description and photos.

I think it would be worthwhile to change your cover photo. Maybe change it to the one of the patio sitting area. You might also want someone to take a few photos that are better staged, such a living room that shows a more inviting living area and bedrooms that are not so stark and more inviting. But a couple of planters with flowers in front of your house and take a photo. I can tell from the photos the house is beautiful and clean and seems to be well equipped but the it looks a bit stark.

Most importantly, though, you need to make sure you use every single space you are giving in your listing. I think you used only the first space that is only 500 characters. If you look down, you will see a box "The Space" where you can write more detailed description of your property. Why should people spend their vacation money at your house?

You need to identify your target demographics and tailor the description towards those needs.

You say 10 minutes to the beach. So that doesn't really mean much to me. Is it a walking 10 minutes? Would I have to drive to the beach? Which beach? Can you have a photo of that particular beach? How is parking at that beach? Do you provide any beach gear?

I hope this helps you get started. Good luck!
