Greetings @Paula and @Maria-Angelita1 ,
I may have some good comments, *I only wish to help. I may also have some more relative comments, as I have lived in Jakarta for 3 years as an ex-pat. SO, these comments are coming from an USA person point of view , who lived and traveled EXTENSIVELY through out all of Indo. AND we have tried to recreate many of our experience of travel into our rental in Portland USA, with our rental.
What I would say, your place would not resonate with a western person. When a westerner travels to Indo, or is an expat in Indo, they are looking for the full cultural Indonesian experience - ie- lots of neat antiques, and stuff. On the flip side, you have the people looking for VERY modern and stylish accommodations, [maybe more of the European culture] _ which I believe is the direction you are going.
I am also a designer, so I will put that hat on now. Your rental seems very random. Neither her nor there. Some rooms seem very stark, and empty with no wall art. others seem dated, with the curtains. The outside shots need more plants and decoration. Maybe few area rugs over the tile floors. I'm a big fan of feng Sui, Creating balance and harmony which leads to a feeling of happy, comfort, and calm. **The thing for me, the structures in Indo were very 'echo'y. I think it is nice when the space has a warm feeling.
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best with your rental!
Selamat _b.
It looks like you are doing well, with all your 5 Star reviews. The only thing I would suggest is get a larger TV for the theater room.
Have you tried using AI for design suggestions as well as evaluating your entire listing? I ran my listing through ChatGPT, implemented half of the suggestions and my listing immediately jumped from the 5th page to the 1st page!
I've also used AI to design my garden when I started getting overwhelmed. It's a fun process and extremely helpful. Design-wise I do agree with Bradley's comments. Your place has good "bones". It's already set up with a clean and modern look. You may choose though to add a few (not a lot) of items that are unique to your area. Above each bed would be an ideal place to hang something beautifully Indonesian. One easy fix could be the left corner countertop of your kitchen which looks cluttered. To use the items you have there you'd have to move other items aside, so it could be frustrating for guests. It may seem like a lot to do, but if you take it one project at a time, you'll get there 🙂

Which hosts are listed as "unavailable" since August 17th?
Limiting it to a maximum of 5 people is a waste. If it were for 8-10 people, we'd get a lot more reservations!

Clicking on the calendar after August 17th shows "Host unavailable," making it impossible to book.
Hello @Maria-Angelita1
First I would like to say you have a beautiful rental! I am also from USA and love Mountain View’s. But as far as your listing goes her are my thoughts. I hope suggestions do help you although it seems you are doing well on your own!
The photos caught my eye first. I see several pictures of buildings. I believe the view is supposed to be the focuse but my eye went straight to the streets. But there are mountain photographs that are beautiful. I would use those since buildings are normally not what guest are interested in. There are a couple repeated photos also. Check those. 53 photos are a lot. Try to stick to your space, amenities and items of interest and that should be enough to entice guest.
As far as the inside, little color would help. The space seems barren as far as pictures or arrangements that give it more of a warm inviting feel. I’ve not been there but it’s what I see for the outside looking in. Also on the calendar when I went to see how well bookings were everything seems like you are staying busy. That’s always great. My thoughts are that as I tapped on dates to check availability it says host not available for checking. Providing a self check in has always seemed to be less stressful and let the guests enter without any problems. You cczn always meet guests at any point of there stay and let them know you will be around if needed. I don’t know the reason for the 2 to 5 check-in but I assume it’s your availability at that time. Self check in could open that window in case of situations beyond a guest control if they need to check in at a later time!
These are opinions not nothing that seems to be hurting you by looking at your reviews. It’s absolutely looks like you doing a great job!
keep up the good work and asking for assistance is always a good thing. Everyone sees things different.
Indonesia is a beautiful place. If I ever make it there I would definitely want to stay with a host that seems as accommodating and friendly as you!
Have a great day,
Kristy
