property manager trying to remove my listing in Ireland

Hey Guys-

I received a concerning email from a management company to advise that I'm not permitted to airbnb my apartment and that
"this type of “temporary occupancy” is neither suitable or permitted

Please confirm that you will take no more bookings and revert the Apartment to “ normal full-time occupancy”

Has anyone been through this before and can help advise? thanks!

Are you house sharing with the Guests @Dervla2 ?
Or living somewhere else?

If you are house sharing with Guests it would be sensible to write to your Property Manager to explain what you are doing and come to some agreement in writing, however if you have moved out and are Sub letting/leasing the property and not living in it that is a different story and is likely to be in breach of a Residential Tenancy Agreement.

It is conducive to a good working relationship to be transparent with Owners of a property if you are Renting and get an agreement signed with them rather than get yourself into trouble.

All the best

@Dervla2 If your lease does not allow short term rental then you need to remove the property from Airbnb. Short of buying the freehold there is nothing you can do.

Are you doing STR in an apartment block or flat where the leases prohibits STRs . If so, they are correct you will need to cancel the bookings and pay the fines @Dervla2
