To answer your question, I'm not hosting yet, I joined the community while preparing to become a host myself, planning to get my first listing up soon. My background is actually in software engineering, I just graduated, and I've built a few automation tools along the way, which is part of what pulled me toward hosting and the operational side of short-term rentals in the first place. I find the mix of systems thinking and hospitality genuinely interesting.
