Cancelation due to Covid-19

Hello,

 

I had a guest ask me to cancel her reservation due to the fact that the event she was traveling to had been canceled due to Covid-19.

 

I canceled it as per her instruction.

 

I now read we are to be given 24% of the amount due to cancelations of Covid-19.

 

The fact that I canceled the reservation at her request, I noticed I have not been given this refund.  How do I go about applying for this?

 

She booked prior to March 14th and the booking was for the beginning of May 2020.

Hi Cheryl

Much to my amazement we did not qualify for a 25% refund on cancelled bookings as they complied with our booking/cancellation policy. ie within 5 days of booking etc.

We used to have a strict then moderate, as pushed by Airbnb so despite cheskey's weak PR promise of refunds, few are 'entitled' to them.

Also, never cancel yourself if you can avoid it.  Get the guest to cancel as it will affect your host status.
