Corona

I have a lot of cancellations due to the Corona virus.

Airbnb force me to pay back 100%, guest by guest....

I have to accept the airbnb rules where

I loose everything....

The guest loose nothing....

The travel insurance company loose nothing...

The Country who decide about affected area loose nothing....

The employer who make rules loose nothing...

I understand about the guests health. But Im a private person and I loose all my bookings right now. Im loosing much more than each one of guest should loose....

Why does airbnb not refer to the traveler's travel insurance?

And I think the one who make the decision should pay!!

This is not fair!!

I agree completely.  It is unfair for Airbnb to make the hosts suffer 100% of the loss. Actually, it hurts the hosts much more than the guests. Most guests only are losing for one vacation in the whole year. As a host, we are losing entire months' of cancellations (every day!) when we need this income in order to survive! I am very disappointed in Airbnb's policies about this. I understand the problem from the guests' point of view; but it seems that no one cares about the losses that the hosts are suffering. It would be a more fair compromise to SPLIT the loss between the host and the guest. The host is no more responsible for this problem than the guest. So, why do we have to lose, lose, and lose? Obviously, no one is booking new stays during this time unless it's the rare emergency here and there or if it's like for a year in advance. Hello Airbnb --- if your hosts cannot survive we will be forced to close down our bnb's so we can find another way to make a living! Airbnb's failure to support hosts is horrible. Really shameful.

I agree. A split would have been fair. Host are being done over.
