please allow hosts to customize discounts of their rates without pre-corona promotion restrictions

This is not a rant, it's a request for short-term help - for those of us attempting to offer custom promotions for substantial discounts to try and re-book the rooms cancelled due to Coronavirus restrictions, the settings and restrictions on promotions are pretty overbearing.  

I request that Airbnb pease allow us to discount any days we want for any amount we want, even if we previously had a discount listed that we cancelled, or any other reason why we are currently not allowed to discount dates.  You gotta give us a fighting chance to stay open even with the massive losses we are suffering.

@Sheila350  Manually adjust your prices via your calendar and then make a "Discount" statement at the beginning of the info in your listing.    Many potential guests already seem to know that all types of tourism accom are discounting heavily to attract business.  Doubt it will make much difference to your bookings (or lack thereof) but worth a try.  Airbnb are a little too busy to deal with a major programming/coding overhaul that would be required to give effect to what you are asking right now.
